include 2008/20012 SQL Server, File Server Clusters, Web Servers, and Active Directory

domains. Currently use Nimble storage arrays with iSCSI connectivity which replaced our

aging Dell MD series storage arrays.

Assist businesses with all aspects of their network infrastructure. Install and terminate cabling,

server management, domain upgrades, and Cisco firewall installations. Manage Windows

2000 and 2003 server products along with Windows 2000 and XP desktop operating systems.

Manage network backup and security with products ranging from Trend Micro, Webroot,

Veritas Backup Exec, and Windows Server Update Services. Supervise and mentor three staff

Shield. Provide third level support to end users. Responsibilities include the daily

maintenance of approximately 200 servers which support upwards to 3000 users in a Microsoft

Windows Active Directory / Novell network. Ensure server uptime by periodically monitoring

all servers in the farms. Install and configure new servers to current specifications. Provide

continuous support to end users while participating in an on-call rotation. User and server

management via Active Directory Group Policy.

Network Administrator / Helpdesk Manager

  · Network Administrator, and Helpdesk Manager of a Windows 2000 Active Directory network.

Worked in a team environment to help oversee the daily activities of the network to assure that

end user requests were handled promptly, and thoroughly. Managed a network of Windows

2000/2003 servers, Exchange 2000, and approximately 250 Windows XP workstations. All

servers and workstations were implemented on Compaq/HP hardware, with Cisco switches

implemented as the core network infrastructure. Citrix Metaframe administrator supporting up

to 500 users. Maintained leased equipment purchasing and returns. Optimized workstation

deployment via Ghost 7.5 and PXE boot services. Maintained the network to the most current

level of Norton anti-virus protection, and Microsoft hotfixes. Assisted with daily backup

strategy, and rotation of backup media. Implemented Active Directory group policies to

improve security for network resources, software deployment, and to ease user administration

duties. Good working knowledge of past and present Microsoft Office Suites.

diagnostic troubleshooting and repair. Maintained equipment repair log and database,

as well as the coordination and exchange of warranty repair items.

Duties required working knowledge of office based software. Other duties were,

loading and updating software, installations of various computer peripherals, hardware

repair and troubleshooting. Network Administration of a Novell network. Extensive

user interaction via on site assistance, and telephone based technical support.

  · 1991 - Special Assignment – Guard for the Secretary of Defense Dick Cheney

Required qualifying with, and carrying a military issue hand gun, and top secret

security clearance.

  · 1987-1992 – United States Army Honor Guard, Arlington National Cemetery

Performed numerous functions of national significance, to include: White House

ceremonies, ceremonies at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and full military burials

for our nation’s fallen heroes.
